Lifely Updates #17

Wow. We’re already done with the first semester of the year. 🙁 I can’t believe it but time has flown so fast that it’s disorienting sometimes because there are still projects that need to be accomplished this year and so little time to do all of them. It didn’t help that most of my July was spent watching the whole 5 seasons of Lucifer (a new favorite by the way) instead of actually doing or taking steps to accomplish the said Projects. Hehehehe.

I seriously hope that August will be the month that I get to sit down and start being serious with my projects most especially the ones involving earning additional money. Sighs. Adulting is really difficult especially when you are planning to buy your own house, getting your own car, and saving for the rainy season. I have already laid out some strategies on how to earn more but I am having difficulty with the execution because I am too lazy and unmotivated. Sigh. Why is that I am more motivated in taking care of my rats, finishing my favorite TV Shows, reading my favorite books instead of actually earning money? 😀 I am planning to take jobs on the side to supplement my monthly salary and be nearer to my goals. How to be motivated about it though?

On a brighter note, I feel so accomplished with my work this month since the team got to submit the statutory reports on time. Wow. So at least, I am doing something right. But seriously, I really need a second job or start a new business soon because there are goals that need to be achieved. I hope that August will be much more merciful and that I will be motivated enough to find work.

And Ryan and I went on a road trip by the way. Ahh the nostalgia since we visited Davao City and the Municipality of Monkayo where we first met and worked together. We had fun times there though the visit was so brief. We had a gathering with the old friends living there and it was a drunken and wasted night that surprisingly ended well. I am still hoping, however, that the main reason that we went there would also materialize because it would mean a lot for Ryan and I.  But at least, it was a fun trip and meeting old friends once again was worth the long ride.

So how did your July go?
