The month of May, particularly the last week, was pretty much eventful. I have finally decided to live on my own… well, technically, it would not be my own because Ryan and I will be sharing it together. It was a hard decision to make because I have lived for so long in my parents’ house being single that I am. Anyway, I finally made the move on the last week of May and it was lucky because Ryan went home and was the one most excited with the move. We inspected two apartments but ultimately chose the one that was farthest from the City because the lease was lower, free water and WiFi usage, the location is nice (shorter commute which means more sleeping and lesser cost on fare), and the landlord and lady were very helpful and accommodating. So there you go.
The new space is not that big and feels crowded if Ryan and I are both present but we make it work. Besides, being in your own place makes for a lot of lovey-lovey moments without your parents or siblings giving you the “get-a-room” looks. Having a space of your own also means that you get to contemplate on things, watch Netflix, curl up with a book, and play your mobile games peacefully without worrying about your parents calling you for some chore that your sibling didn’t do. And most importantly, the feeling of independence outweighs the fear of being all by yourself. So yup, the move was a win.
Now, how to learn cooking without burning anything. So how did your May go? 😀
