Book Review: By Your Side

As of this time, By Your Side is my most favorite Kasie West book followed by The Distance Between Us. The whole time that I was reading this book, I cannot stop grinning from ear to ear. Who wouldn’t want to be locked in a library with a cute and mysterious hottie? I know, I wouldn’t mind (except the part where there’s no food and no changing of undies, ugh) especially if there’s a chance of cuddling with the mentioned hottie. Ha. Anyway, horniness aside, there’s so much more about By Your Side than your feel good contemporary romance YA. …

Book Review: Blackbird Fly

After a lot of disappointing reads, Blackbird Fly was a breath of fresh air. It managed to deliver what it meant to deliver. It was fast-paced, straightforward, a little bit angsty, awkward in the most positive way, heartwarming and relatable. With A Wicked Thing, Thomas proved that there are really many ways on how to spin a yarn and what she did with this well-worn tale is definitely inventive and refreshing. I liked that the author didn’t the follow the usual fairy…

Book Review: Polaris

Is it me or is it the book? This, I asked myself after reading Polaris. The things that made Avalon awesome are still in this book but then, everything just felt off. Avalon made me excited. Avalon made my emotions run high. Avalon made me feel like I was one of the crews of Malleus Shade. Avalon made it to my list of Best Reads in 2014. Avalon was awesome.  Polaris is… not. I think my disappointment with Polaris lies with the characters particularly Jeth Seagrave.  If you’ve read my review for Avalon, you’d know that I have an issue…
