Book Review: The Davenports

There was no other reason why I picked up The Davenports from Netgalley other than the fact that it was offered as one of the “Read Now” books and well, I liked that dashing yellow cover.  I have literally zero expectation when I dove into the book. It’s that sort of day when you just tell the Universe that, “Hiyah, let us surprise ourselves by choosing and reading a random book.”  Yes, I went into The Davenports blind and not to offend anyone (I’m not American), I don’t even have the slightest idea who C.M. Book Review: My Salty Mary

After falling in love with My Lady Jane, there’s just no way that I’d let My Salty Mary pass my grabby hands. It has Little Mermaid in it, piracy, and all that crazy stuff that I love so what more can I ask for? And just as I expected, The Winged Tiara delivered all the things that I want in a historical romance novel. Two lovable protagonists, an action-packed plot with full of twists, a cozy romance all happening in different quaint places. Our story starts when our heroine,…

Book Review: My Lady Jane

My Lady Jane is just laugh out loud funny, cozy, and everything that is heartwarming. I went into My Lady Jane with my hopes only up to a bare minimum because there’s that nagging voice at the back of my mind that told me, “This is probably a Bridgerton-inspired story but hell yeah, just read it.”  I’m so glad I did because I enjoyed this more than the Bridgerton series put together.  Oh, I’m not saying that the Bridgerton Series is bad because I actually enjoyed the whole series and even watched some of the TV shows.  My Lady Jane,…
