Book Review: The Warbler

To those whose who had known me from my previous blogs, you know that magical realism is not really my thing. Of course, there are books like Patrick Ness’ and Neil Gaiman’s that will stand out and manage its way to become remarkable reads. It’s fortunate that I was able to pick up The Warbler by Sarah Beth Durst because I enjoyed it a lot. It’s not perfect but the wave of magic that I’m craving for was satisfied. The Warbler follows the story of Elisa who for some unknown and mysterious reason needs to hop from one place to…

Book Review: Among The Burning Flowers

Through the years, I’ve always been planning to pick up Samantha Shannon’s The Bone season series due to a lot of raving reviews from my fellow book bloggers. But such plan was forgotten after life got in the way and my other hobbies took over. Inspired by colonial India, R.A. Basu’s To Bargain With Mortals follows the story of Poppy Sutherland,…

Book Review: When He Was Wicked

Ah…. It has been so long since I read the first book of the Bridgerton series and it is still surreal to me that I am already writing review for the 6th book in the series. Yes, I know that it took me a long time to get here…to get to this point but hey, I’m here right now. Honestly, I was already resigned to the fact that the Bridgerton Series would be another statistics to my ever growing pile of unfinished series but look at that, two more books and I’ll be saying goodbye to our beloved Bridgertons. Do…
