Book Review: The Hammer of Thor

Just like his other books and the first Gods of Asgards books, I was smiling as I reached the end of this book. The Hammer of Thor is a spectacular sequel to The Sword of Summer and is further proof of Riordan’s prowess when it comes to mythology. Book Review: Defy the Stars

I wish I could defy my feelings after reading Defy The Stars… wish I could fool myself that the actual story is as awesome as the premise. Unfortunately, I’ve spent countless of days just staring at the screen of my Kobo, never really absorbing what the words meant. I guess this is a case of “it’s not the book, it’s me” problem. Book Review: Empire of Storms

Up to this moment, I am still at a loss as to what happened with Empire of Storms when Heir of Fire finally upped the game followed by Queen of Shadows that sizzled with so much amazing goodness. It was Maas’ momentum to finally steer the ship into the “fantasy” direction and then, Empire of Storms happened. Book Review: Empire of Shadows

I love the cover. That’s the only positive thing that I can think of about Empire of Shadows. Although it’s already the second book of the Bhinian Empire Series, it’s actually a prequel of book 1, A City of A Thousand Dolls. It tells the story of Mara and Emil Arvi, the deceased parents of our protagonist in book 1, Nisha Arvi.
