Book Review: City of Stairs

I have to be honest here.  When I signed up for an account on Blogging for Books, my intent was to look for an ARC of a book that I really wanted.  I made a request on EW but sadly, got rejected.  Driven by a sick obsession, I sought Blogging for Books in the hopes that I might find what I’m looking for there. Obviously, my search failed and I end up with City Of Stairs.  Yeah, I know, I could have just walk away without adding another ARC to my staggering TBR pile but I need to try the…

Book Review: Broken

Please remind me again why I allowed myself to be tortured by this book.  Right. Because I was STUPID.  I actually didn’t know that this book existed until after I got a notification from Netgalley that Strange Chemistry has approved my request for Tainted.  As I was searching GR to download Tainted’s book cover for my Stacking the Shelves post, it came to my attention that Tainted is already the second book of the Broken series. My interest was very high during the first 20% of the book and then it dwindled as the story progressed. The main character, Miranda, was average and easily forgettable. I wouldn’t even bat an eyelash if the…

Book Review: Addicted To You

Howdy, my bloggy friends? We have 2 more hours to go and it’s jingle bells already.  Since most of you are spending a White Christmas, I decided to post a steamy review to make things warmer. Guys…guys…this book…this book is nothing like I’ve encountered before.  It’s disturbing… it’s thought provoking and definitely an eye-opener.  I admit that I got this because of the hype and the curious premise. A story about sex addiction is not something I come across every day. And I intend to know if the authors will be able to portray the addiction in a convincing manner.…
