Book Review: Gemina

Although you’re not reading this, my biggest thanks to you for giving me one of the best gifts in 2016, my co-employee!  I really regretted the fact that I did not read Gemina sooner because it’s so mindblowing I’m still picking up my brain pieces at the moment. Like the Illuminae, Gemina was written in epistolary format complete with letters, transcripts, journal writings and drawings, chat messages, etc.  The variety of methods that Kaufman and Kristoff used to tell the story surely guaranteed a phenomenal and wild ride. Book Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Finally, the second to the last installment of the boy wizard’s amazing story. I’ve read this book ages ago but I can’t stop re-reading it especially these fast few months. I am terribly missing Harry and the gang. Furthermore, GoF is immersing us deeper into the world of HP as we get to know the other wizarding schools in Europe and their cultures. And who…

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Plot Just like the first Harry Potter book, Chamber of Secrets (CoS) is also a fast paced novel bringing us deeper into a world of realistic fantasy. Unlike from other books, CoS do not suffer the middle book syndrome and a great read whether stand alone or together with book 1. JK Rowling is a master of cliffhangers and mystery that totally left me hanging on the edge of my seat as yet revelations of awesome and awful truths were uncovered in this beloved read. The story of Chamber of Secrets is weaved wonderfully that every pieces of the puzzle…
