Book Review: A Red Peace

Unsettling at first but once you get used to all the jargons used in this book, you’ll find yourself having a hard time in putting it down. The basic premise is that the age of humans is coming to an end when the crosses (term for human/alien hybrids) that they’ve made—through vat culture—rallied together and started a resistance . Our female protagonist, Jaqi, who is a cross herself wanted nothing to do with the war and had spent her life in hiding and doing shady stuff. Book Review: Defy the Stars

I wish I could defy my feelings after reading Defy The Stars… wish I could fool myself that the actual story is as awesome as the premise. Unfortunately, I’ve spent countless of days just staring at the screen of my Kobo, never really absorbing what the words meant. I guess this is a case of “it’s not the book, it’s me” problem. Wow! This was a highly entertaining…

Book Review: Polaris

Is it me or is it the book? This, I asked myself after reading Polaris. The things that made Avalon awesome are still in this book but then, everything just felt off. Avalon made me excited. Avalon made my emotions run high. Avalon made me feel like I was one of the crews of Malleus Shade. Avalon made it to my list of Best Reads in 2014. Avalon was awesome.  Polaris is… not. I think my disappointment with Polaris lies with the characters particularly Jeth Seagrave.  If you’ve read my review for Avalon, you’d know that I have an issue…
