Book Review: Broken

Please remind me again why I allowed myself to be tortured by this book.  Right. Because I was STUPID.  I actually didn’t know that this book existed until after I got a notification from Netgalley that Strange Chemistry has approved my request for Tainted.  As I was searching GR to download Tainted’s book cover for my Stacking the Shelves post, it came to my attention that Tainted is already the second book of the Broken series. Because Stupid me believes that ARCs are not free and they’re meant to be reviewed and it was my fault for not checking things…

Book Review: Sterling

I had a hard time rating this book. I kept going back and forth from 3 to 4 and vice versa. Sterling is my very first Adult, paranormal read and I went into it without a lot of expectations since I am treading on unfamiliar territory. I don’t know how things will work in adult paranormal books because my only experience in the said age group only extends from mystery to erotica to HF to EF. Fangirl has a 4.36 average rating in GR.  You’re deviating from the norm. You should be fangirling over this book. Me: Huh? Reading this book was already bad enough and you want me to do…to…

Book Review: Angelfall

Books like Angelfall are one the few reasons why readers shouldn’t give up on reading paranormal stories and picking up self-published books.  The journey might be taxing but once you come across stories like Angelfall, all those hitches you’ve passed by will be greatly compensated. It is amazingly unique and greatly depicts Susan Ee’s superb devotion to the genre. Rather than being your typical fluffy angel read wherein you daydream about being saved by a chiselled, glowing, haloed, creature of goodness; Angelfall will deliver you straight to a world of macabre and horror where angels are the warlords of blood…
