Book Review: Froi of the Exiles

If you have noticed my inactivity for the last few days then there’s just one reason for that: I was busy reading the Lumatere Chronicles and I refused to be bothered by e-mails and comments. I still love you, guys but the pull of Marchetta was too strong that the only right thing to do was to keep reading until my body surrenders.  So I will start this review with a warning. Beware of Marchetta. She will ensnare you with her spell. In Froi of the Exiles, our young Sarnak Thief, Froi has grown up into a fine young man.…

Book Review: Clockwork Princess

Perhaps it isn’t proper for me to write this review while I am undergoing an emotional upheaval right this very minute. My thoughts are still incoherent and I am not sure whether I would be able to properly convey my feelings for this book. Clockwork Princess has been on my 2013 must-read list and to say that I am looking forward to read it is an understatement. The Cuckoo’s Calling was an entertaining read but it didn’t have the brilliance of Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons series (esp. Da Vinci’s code) nor Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Well,…

Book Review: All’s Fair In Blog and War

All’s Fair in Blog and War is one cliché story I’ve come to adore. Except for blogging and a travel to Macau, there’s nothing really new here and had the author failed to execute the whole thing properly, my eyes would have been pointing at different directions from numerous eyerolls. But Chrissie Peria managed to weave something special out of an overused story. All’s Fair in Blog and War has all the things I needed after reading a depressing monster of a book. It’s fluffy, humorous and it’s about blogging. The story started when virtual assistant and blogging hobbyist, Five,…
