Book Review: Something Rotten

Something Rotten was a random pick from Netgalley, a sort of challenge for myself to read something that’s way out of my comfort zone. And well, who could resist that crying baby cover which really piqued my curiosity? It’s not something that I get to encounter every day what with the SFF books that I usually prefer to read. I’m glad that I picked Something Rotten because it gave my brain a new stimulation that’s not focused on who’s gonna usurp someone’s kingdom or will the boy/girl of destiny fulfil the prophecy. Something Rotten is not your typical contemporary-couple story…

Book Review: Lies On The Serpent’s Tongue

Thank the heavens because Lies on the Serpent’s Tongue did not suffer from the dreaded ‘middle book syndrome’ wherein the whole series starts to fall apart due to eye-rolling fillers. Though I have not yet posted my review for the first book, Bittersweet in the Hollow, a simple  Goodreads search would show that I gave it a 3-star rating due to issues that I just couldn’t let go. Book Review: Wheel of the Infinite

Before reading this book, I did not even know who Martha Wells is until a quick search in Goodreads revealed that she’s one of those old beloved classic high fantasy authors. My bad. As far as I can remember, my whole world back in 2000 solely revolved on J.K. Rowling and the Harry Potter series…and well, the occasional Roald Dahl here and there.  I refused to read anything not related Harry Potter. But anyway, back to the Wheel of Infinite, I did not know that it’s a reprint either when I requested the eARC from Netgalley. All I know is…
