Book Review: Red Queen

This one’s a disappointment. Instead of a book hangover, Red Queen left me questioning myself whether its positive points are worth the pain that I have to go through while reading the whole thing.  It’s not essentially a bad book but I just can’t connect with the story, with the characters, and the whole love quadrangle.  The premise, while not that original, was I think one of the reasons why I picked up this book.  Got to admit that I wasn’t over the whole Red Rising craze and I thought that the Red Queen would fill the gap left by…

Book Review: House of Ivy and Sorrow

I think I should take a break from reading ARCs. I swear that this is the nth ARC I’ve given a less than 3 star rating this year.  And it makes me feel guilty because most of the ARCs that I’ve reviewed are debut novels. Book Review: Generation V

I highly regretted the fact that it took me so long to pick up Generation V.   I didn’t expect it to be this awesome and that’s already saying a lot because I went into this book with very high expectations. Thank goodness, it delivered with flying colors.  Generation V was certainly a refreshing read as it deviated from the rules of writing vampire stories.  I mean, let’s face it. If you are searching for a vampire book in online stores or in your local book stores, what are the chances of coming across a vampire story wherein the male vampire…
