October was another exciting month that culminated with a blast. I finally decided to take the plunge and taught myself on creating amigurumis. 😀 Yes. Yes. Yes. You have read that right. Finally, I was able to do something that I have really wanted to do for a long long time. Thank the heavens for Youtube, Etsy, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook. What could have been a gruelling mission became a manageable and enjoyable journey sans the occasional hair-pulling and teeth-grinding.
My amigurumis still looked wonky but as they say, practice makes perfect. Seeing my amigurumis getting better with every project never failed to put joy in my heart. And the sense of accomplishment after finishing a single toy is incomparable. All the late nights, muscle pains, and other frustations that I went through with learning the craft are all worth it. This new hobby has definitely fed the mind, the soul, and the heart.
So enough gushing about my newfound hobby, let us move on to the other equally interesting (or not) topics that made (or break! heh) my October. Being busy with my Amigurumi crocheting has definitely affected my TV series/Movie watching, reading, and gaming activities. Most of my spare time was spent being hunched in the corner of my bedroom as my hands are busy with the hook and yarn. Heh.
But hey, life was not that boring in October. The hubby came home for a 1-week break and guess what, we went beach hopping for the All Souls’ and All Saints’ Day Holidays. Yup, we just saw each other last September but it felt like it had been ages ago since the last that I saw him. Huhuhuhu. This is cringey and corny but I really missed him because it’s a different kind of joy to see and be with your better half physically. So anyways, we opted to finally visit Glan, the municipality of white and fine sand beaches. Although I had been to the municipality numerous of times in the past, we still added it to our bucketlist because the hubby hadn’t had the opportunity to see the place yet. Just like I remembered, the place was still a paradise and I am so glad that even with the onslaught of visitors (due to the holidays), the beaches still maintained this sense of serenity and peace. Though we really did not spend our time soaking in the pristine waters of the beaches, we definitely had a good time roaming the Poblacion area, staying in our room cuddling and giggling, and making our tummies full with whatever interesting food that we can stuff our mouth with.
Ahh…fun times!!! I wish it’s possible to hold onto the moments and just never let go. ;D
So how did your October go?
