Lifely Updates #19

Just as I have teased you about a month ago, I flew for a personal trip last September and you prolly have an idea where. Yep, you are right. I went to Cebu once again to get together with the hubby. Of course, a lot has happened during September but the trip was the main highlight just because…

Just like what we always do when are together, the hubby and I went on an eating spree wherein we are almost rendered lethargic. After my arrival in Cebu, we went to this fancy steakhouse at the suburbs of Cebu City and ordered a whopping 1 kg of 14-day aged Ribeye steak and 500 grams Black Pepper Steak not to mention that it came with Potato Wedges, Scallops, and Mashed Potatoes.  If that is not gluttony, I don’t know what is. But we finished the 1.5 kg steak and the day after, we feasted on a 500 g pork lechon. So given the burden that we loaded into our tummies,  we decided to do some exercise by going to the SM Seaside Oceanarium which was a lot of fun. Although I am acquainted with most of the fishes there because I also had aquariums a long time ago  and raised the same species, I still could not believe that the Oceanarium’s version of aquarium fishes were gigantic. So the Oceanarium did not only house aquarium fishes but they also had a decent line up of saltwater fishes, herps, and other mammals. The wild in me was overjoyed and my heart was full. The hubby even told me that I was like a kid who was brought to the Zoo for the first time. Yes, I am. We don’t have zoos or oceanariums here in Gensunny. So the oceanarium visit was really novel for me and I want to get back. Hahahahah.

We also went to the Cebu’s first world class Theme Park, Anjo’s World where the hubby and I rode the Philippine’s tallest Ferris Wheel. I also had a go with the Pharaoh’s Seat (the hubby did not join for safety reasons) and the 360 degree turn almost had my heart dropped. To cap off the Theme Park visit, we rode the classic but never-gets-old Bump Cars. It was the hubby’s first time so it was a joy to see him having fun. The ride was a bummer for me though because the Bump Car assigned to me was broken. Oh well, you can’t win ’em all. And then, we had another eating galore somewhere in SRP along the beachside.

Ah, as I think about those moments, everything felt surreal and I can’t wait to have another adventure with the hubby.

Anyhow, before you get bored with my endless blabbering of the Cebu Trip or how much I adore the hubby, let me report that for September, I also finished several books by Jennifer Armentrout (the Blood and Ash series which is kind of meh really, I am not sure if I’m going to write a review about it) and  completed several K-dramas such as Tomorrow and the King’s Affection (I started watching this last year and I got bored halfway soooooo….) and 1 movie, The Mummy, whose lead actor is Tom Cruise. But what really took most of my time was playing Stardew Valley. Did I tell you that I was back from my long SDV gaming hiatus? Yes, I am definitely back in the game because the developer, ConcernedApe, just announced in Twitter that the long-awaited 1.5 mobile update will be released by the end of this year. So that got my blood pumping because honestly, I have already reached end game with my current save and there’s nothing much to do unless you like doing those monotonous and ridiculous challenges like collect 999 Perfect Sunfishes or achieve level 4000th floor at the Skull Cavern.

On a different note, I also started a new physical bullet journal in the hopes that I can empty my mind for once and not let it be buzzing with a gazillion of thoughts 24/7. You know, I just can forget about this or that stuff if I had already written it down and I can go and stress over something else. Heh.

For my other and more important goals, uhm,  lemme update you on that next month. So how was your September?
